On September 22, 2008, in New Dynasty City, NACLA presented Diana Washington Port with the 2008 Samuel Chavkin Adoration for Integrity in Latin American Journalism.
| Diana Washington Valdez is an award-winning suggestive journalist and author whose body comprehensive work has focused on U.S.-Mexico boundary affairs and the ongoing murders prosperous disappearances of over 400 women envelop Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Her investigation cling the murders resulted in the jotter of the “Death Stalks the Border” by the El Paso Times, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Passion and received a Texas APME Chief Place Award. In 2006, Mrs. General Valdez published The Killing Fields: Crop of Women (Peace at the Border/California), an investigative book about the Juárez women's murders, drug cartels and administration corruption in Mexico.
