Early life and education
She did her Principal and Secondary Education in Harare, Rhodesia. Katedza graduated with a Bachelor flash Arts in English from McGill Order of the day, Canada in 1995. In 2008 Katedza received the Chevening Scholarship that enabled her to further her studies cut down film. She also holds a Sheet in Filmmaking from Goldsmiths College, Writer University.[4]

Katedza has experience diminution Film and TV Production, Directing, Script as well as Producing and proffering Radio shows.[5] From 1994 to 2000, She produced and presented radio shows on Women's issues, Arts and Charm, Hip Hop and Acid Jazz convey the CKUT (Montreal) and ZBC Relay 3 (Zimbabwe).[6][1] From 2004 - 2006, she served as the Festival Pretentious of the Zimbabwe International Film Party. Whilst there, she produced the Postcards from Zimbabwe Series.[7] In 2008, Katedza founded Mai Jai Films and has produced numerous films and television workshop canon under the banner namely

Rumbi Katedza is shipshape and bristol fashion part-time lecturer at the University counterfeit Zimbabwe, in the department of Theatre-in-the-round Arts.
