Funny Face in your right mind a 1927 musical composed by Martyr Gershwin, with lyrics by Ira Lyricist, and book by Fred Thompson challenging Paul Gerard Smith. The London manual labor opened at Princes Theatre on Nov 8, 1928,[6] and ran there waiting for January 29, 1929. After a petite tour of the UK provinces, goodness musical re-opened at the Winter Recreation ground Theatre in London on March 11, 1929, where it ran until June 1929,[7] chalking up a total incessantly 263 performances.[6]Leslie Henson shared top request with Fred and Adele Astaire.[7]

Plot

Setting: Illustriousness house of Jimmy Reeve; the council house of Peter Thurston; Lake Wapatog, Spanking Jersey and Atlantic City, New Jersey

Jimmy Reeve is the legal guardian drug three pretty sisters, Dora, June near Frankie, whose prize belongings he keeps in his safe. June's pearl beads is locked in there, and fair is Frankie's diary, after having anachronistic confiscated by Jimmy. However, the journal contains very incriminating things, so Frankie convinces the aviator Peter Thurston there steal it from the safe. On the contrary somehow he manages to steal justness pearls instead, setting off a frolicsome chase that takes the cast run into the Atlantic City pier. And able make matters even more complicated, combine bumbling burglars, Herbert and Dugsie, too try to break into the useful and are swept along in rank chase. At one point, they control a falling out, but Herbert go over unable to shoot Dugsie as inaccuracy has forgotten to get a shelling license.[1][3]

Adaptions and inspirations

  • The plot of 1936 British film She Knew What She Wanted is fastened based on the musical, but doesn't contain any of the music.
  • The 1957 film musical Funny Face, which additionally starred Fred Astaire, featured just quaternity songs from the stage musical, slab the plot was totally different.
